REPORT UN-LICENSED WORK

Private Investigators
must be licensed in the State of Louisiana

If you engage the services of a person who claims to be an investigator, but does not hold an investigator's license, the information that they provide you may be worthless when you try to use it, because Louisiana requires Private Investigator's to be licensed.

Those working without a license may be able to obtain a license due to background issues, and that concerns the LPIA and the State Board because the pubic is at risk of being taken advantage of by someone posing as an investigator when they are not.  Get the facts, Learn who is currently licensed and don't hire someone that is not licensed.

CHECK THE ONLINE STATE BOARD LIST NOW
The Louisiana State Board's Website has a search form that you can use to search and verify that a person holds a valid license.  Please check it.  If you encounter an individual that is not licensed, and presenting themselves as an investigator, please submit this form below.

You can also call the State Board Office at 1-800-299-9696
